POST-WISE EXAM PATTERN

For Personal Assistant (Steno-III) 

The Examination will be conducted in 2 stages

Stage-1 (SKILL SET)

Candidates you have to qualify in this stage firstly. Here Candidate’s ability in Stenography will be tested on the basis of Speed and Accuracy. The test will comprise of dictation of 5 minutes @ 80 words per minute and transcription of dictation in English which has to be completed in 25 minutes. Only 5% of mistakes will be allowed in transcription.

Candidates who are qualified in stage-1 will be allowed for the stage-2

Stage- 2: Written Exam (Exam Pattern are given below)

For Upper Division Clerk Post

Candidates have to attend Written Test for Upper Division Clerk Post the details of the exam pattern and syllabus are given on the following page

For JSA/LDC cum Computer Operator Post

Candidates here you have to complete 2 Stages

Written Test (Stage-1): The details of the written test  and syllabus is given below in the table

Skill Test(Stage-2):

• A typing speed test of 30 words per minute(WPM) in English on a manual typewriter or 35 WPM on a computer corresponds to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) on an average of 5 key depression for each word
• Basic computer application(Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc)

APSSB Exam Pattern 2021 LDC, Personal Assistant JSA, UDC

• The APSSB LDC Exam Consists of General Knowledge questions
• The exam is totally conducting for 300 marks
• You have 50 questions in the exam and 2 marks for each question
• The time duration for the completion of the exam is 3 hrs
• There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer
• That means for 1/4 of 2=0.5 marks will be deducted

General English -100 marks (50 questions of 2 marks each)

Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. State questions may also be asked.
