- The prelims exam is of 300 marks.

- The Mains written exam is separately conducted for the Civil and Mechanical Department.
- The Mains exam is of 1000 marks.
- In the Mains written exam, two Sections are included i.e, Section I, Section II.
- Section 1 carries 600 marks whereas Section II carries 400 marks.
- The time duration for Section I is 2 hours.
- The time duration for Section II is 3 hours.
