- In the DPS DAE Selection Process, there are two stages. One is an Objective Type and a Descriptive Test in English.

- In the Level 1 Test, candidates have to answer 200 questions in 2 hours duration in the specified subjects as mentioned.
- The Level 1 Exam is Objective Type.
- The questions will be in Hindi and English concerning parts B, C, and D. Questions for Part A will be in English.
- Qualifying standard in the Level 1 Examination will be 50% marks for General and EWS candidates and 40% marks for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
- There are 0.25 Negative markings in the Level 1 Test for every wrong answer.
- In Level 2, the English Language and Comprehension are given a mark of 100. The candidates must have to answer it in 180 minutes.
- The qualifying standard for the Level 1 Exam (Objective) is 40% for General /EWS Candidates and 33% for SC/OBC/PWBD/Ex-SM candidates. The qualifying standard for the Level 2 Exam (Descriptive) is 50% for General /EWS Candidates and 40% for SC/OBC/PWBD/Ex-SM candidates.
